Ashdale

A bed and breakfast on North Parade, Matlock Bath, in an 1847 Grade two listed early Victorian building put up in the Georgian style. It is one of a row of four properties originally called Fountain Villas, a name still readable on Ashdale's front corner stones. Four ensuite rooms are named Youlgrave, Castleton, Stanage and Lumsdale. Hot breakfast is cooked to order beside a self-service bar, with free-range eggs. Opposite the Jubilee Bridge over the Derwent.
