Beaches is a small, family-run guest house at 13 Queen's Terrace in Ayr, a Victorian terrace a few minutes' walk from the town centre. The house has six letting rooms, each en suite with a television and wi-fi, and a private garden that gives gated access straight onto Ayr's sandy beach and esplanade. Breakfast is a full Scottish cooked using Ayrshire produce, with free-range eggs, square sausage, haggis and tattie scones among the choices. The owners run it directly as an independent bed-and-breakfast rather than under any hotel group, keeping it small enough to stay hands-on with guests. Its position suits people visiting for the beach, the town's golf courses and the wider Burns-country coast, within easy reach of the seafront on one side and Ayr's shops, restaurants and station on the other.
