Brioche

Brioche has traded from Wellgate in Clitheroe town centre for more than eleven years as a family-run cafe. The kitchen bakes its own cakes and traybakes daily and prepares homemade savoury dishes such as soups, quiches and hot lunches, alongside barista coffee and a range of teas. The cafe serves breakfasts through to afternoon tea, with both sit-in tables and takeaway service from the counter, and caters for outside events. It sits a short walk from Clitheroe's Tuesday and Saturday market and the castle grounds, among several independent food businesses on the same street. The premises is a single shop rather than part of a wider group, and the owners describe it as serving the same Clitheroe customers since it opened. Menus change through the year and note suppliers from the Ribble Valley where these are used.
