Caws Cenarth is a farmhouse cheese made on the Teifi, near Cenarth, by the Adams family — Gwynfor and Thelma started it in 1987, drawing on six generations of family cheesemaking, and are widely credited with reviving Welsh Farmhouse Caerphilly when it had all but died out. It is a Royal Warrant holder and the oldest established maker of the cheese it helped save. The visitor centre lets you watch the cheese being made, mid-morning most of the week, and buy it at the source. In a corner where Carmarthenshire meets Pembrokeshire, it is a genuine heritage producer — a family that kept a Welsh cheese alive and still makes it by hand.
