Coastal Silver

Coastal Silver is a jewellery workshop and shop on Meridian Road in Cleethorpes, close to the boating lake. Andrea Warnock, a former foster carer, began teaching herself silversmithing and started running jewellery-making classes from a craft unit in 2013; a retail shop selling the finished pieces followed nearby in 2016. Andrea has since trained her husband John as a silversmith, and their son Jack, who apprenticed under her, now makes bespoke silver and gold pieces alongside her. Much of the jewellery incorporates sea glass, beach stones and jet that the family collects from the coastline between Scotland and Cornwall. The workshop still runs hands-on classes, including sessions where couples make their own wedding or engagement rings, alongside ashes jewellery and driftwood ornaments carved into boats and sea creatures. The business has featured on Channel 5's coastal travel programming and in craft and lifestyle magazines for its use of beachcombed materials. It opens Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 4pm, and Saturday, 10am to 3pm.
