Montgomery Nurseries has traded on the Kilrea Road outside Maghera since William Montgomery started the business in 1995, supplying plants to customers across Northern Ireland and further afield before building out the current garden centre. The site now sells bedding plants, shrubs, trees, seeds, bulbs, compost and tools, alongside a florist counter making up bouquets, buttonholes and grave arrangements, an in-house farm shop carrying locally sourced meat, dairy and honey, and a small pet corner stocking cold-water and koi fish. The combination of nursery, florist and farm shop under one roof has made it a regular stop for gardeners and for locals buying flowers or food rather than just plants. It trades from this single Maghera site, open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
