Much More Books and Much More Music has traded from 6 High Street in Much Wenlock since 2003, selling new and second-hand books alongside vinyl records, CDs and DVDs. The shop buys in books, vinyl and collections from house clearances as well as stocking new titles, and sells greetings cards and postcards by local photographers at the counter. It sits in a town linked to the origins of the modern Olympic Games through the Wenlock Olympian Games founded by local doctor William Penny Brookes, a history reflected in some of the shop's local-interest stock. Opening hours run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10am to 4pm, with the shop closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. It remains an independent, single-site bookshop rather than part of a chain, run separately from the town's other second-hand bookshop, which closed in 2019. Music customers can sell as well as buy vinyl, CDs and DVDs, alongside the book trade that gives the shop its name.
