Red LionInn Doune

The Red Lion Inn occupies a building dating from the mid-1700s on Balkerach Street in Doune, passing to new independent owners in December 2022. The inn has six bedrooms, including two family suites, alongside a public bar serving whisky and locally brewed beers and a restaurant using Scottish produce for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A function room, the Quaich Suite, opens onto a courtyard for private events. The inn stands close to Doune Castle, a filming location for Outlander, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Game of Thrones. It trades as a single site in Doune, with no sister properties elsewhere.
