Rocket MonkeyCoffee Roastery

Andrew O'Donnell and Remo Bertellotti started Rocket Monkey as a coffee roastery in 2017, later opening this shop and roasting room inside Union Arcade at Burns Statue Square. Beans are sourced through direct trade relationships with small farms and roasted on site in small batches, then sold by the bag alongside cups made to order. The shop keeps long hours, open seven days a week from nine until five, drawing a steady mix of commuters, students and visitors passing through the town centre arcade. Staff talk through origin, roast profile and brew method for any bag on the shelf, and wholesale customers across South Ayrshire buy beans roasted on the same equipment used for the retail counter. It remains a small, owner-run operation rather than a chain outlet.
