Roselyn Jones and her partner Dave run Sip Cafe and Kitchen from 24 Conway Road in Colwyn Bay, a small operation they describe as family-run with locally sourced coffee and homemade food. The cafe uses beans from Heartland Coffi, the North Wales roaster based in nearby Llandudno, and serves breakfast, brunch and light lunches through the day. Judges gave Sip Cafe the Blue Ribbon at the Good Food Awards for the second year running, recognising the kitchen's cooking rather than presentation alone. Jones called the win proof of what a small cafe with, in her words, big hearts can achieve. The cafe offers dine-in, takeaway and outdoor seating on Conway Road, one of Colwyn Bay's routes toward the seafront.
