The Broadbent Theatre stands on Snarford Road in the village of Wickenby, converted from a Methodist chapel in 1970 by the Lindsey Rural Players, a group with roots in a wartime theatre company formed by conscientious objectors. It is named for Roy Broadbent, who supported the conversion and died shortly after the theatre opened. The 100-seat venue is run as a charity rather than a commercial chain, staging four in-house productions a year including a winter pantomime, alongside touring theatre, music, comedy, and National Theatre screenings. A youth theatre operates alongside the main programme, and the space is available for community hire. Tickets are sold through the venue's own box office and TicketSource. It remains the only theatre operated by the Lindsey Rural Players.
