The Nog Inn is a Grade II listed freehouse on South Street in Wincanton, with parts of the building dating from the 17th century behind a later Georgian front. Will and Amy Cutts took over the pub in 2007 and run it as a straightforward local rather than a restaurant, cooking fresh food to order rather than from a fixed menu bought in. Will's home-made 8oz beef burgers are the most ordered dish, served alongside daily specials that change with the seasons. The bar stocks local ales and ciders alongside imported lagers and a house wine list. A beer garden with a covered smoking area hosts occasional live music, and the pub keeps a children's menu, games and activity packs for younger visitors. Letting rooms are available above the bar, and dogs are welcome throughout the pub.
