Wyndford is a working plant nursery at Ecclesmachan, in the countryside between Broxburn and Uphall, run as an independent single-site business that propagates and grows much of its own stock. The focus is on hardy plants suited to Scottish conditions, with perennials, climbers, shrubs, trees and alpines raised on the farm rather than bought in from large wholesalers. It is a seasonal operation, open from April to October, Thursday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm, which follows the growing calendar rather than a year-round garden-centre model. Alongside sales, the nursery offers garden advice and pre-arranged garden visits, and runs a plant-pot recycling scheme for customers. There is no coffee shop or concession trade here; it is a specialist grower's nursery, and it is worth checking stock availability before travelling. Parking is at the farm.
