J.E. Books

J.E. Books was opened in September 2018 by its owner Julie inside Hepworth's Arcade, a covered Victorian shopping arcade built in the late 1880s in Hull's Old Town. The shop stocks a mixture of new and second-hand books without restricting itself to a single genre, and sells small literary gifts including mugs, tea towels and bookmarks alongside the stock. Julie takes special orders for new titles that aren't on the shelves and will search out second-hand copies of books that customers are struggling to find elsewhere, posting orders out by mail when customers cannot collect in person. The shop also lists titles for sale through Bookshop.org UK. It is open Tuesday to Saturday, from 10.30am to 4pm, closing on Sundays and Mondays.
