Hessle Bookshop

Hessle Bookshop is a family-run bookshop on Northgate in Hessle, first opened in 1980 as Our Lady's Bookshop with a focus on religious titles. The shop has since broadened its stock to cover fiction and classics, children's books, biographies, local-interest titles, and education and reference works, alongside cards, gifts and stationery. Staff will order in specific titles that are not held in stock, and books can be bought online for delivery or collected in person from the shop. It is open Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings, closed on Sundays. The shop remains one of the few independent booksellers left serving Hull's western suburbs, having traded from the same Hessle premises for more than four decades.
