Ken Foster's Cycle Logic has traded from Barlow Moor Road since 1954, when Eric Foster and his father John bought a pre-war cycle shop from two brothers named Wright and renamed it after the family. Eric's son Ken joined the business in 1966 and returned to work alongside his father in 1973, later taking over when Eric retired in 1987. The shop expanded into a second unit on the same road before consolidating back to its present two-unit site at 374-376 Barlow Moor Road. It is now recognised as the oldest family-owned business in Chorlton, still selling and repairing bicycles under the same name three generations on. Staff service and repair a wide range of makes, alongside sales of new bikes, components and cycle clothing. The shop also participates in the Cycle to Work scheme. Long-standing customers, some who have used the shop for decades, are a regular presence at the counter.
