Marr Grange FarmShop & Tearooms

The Hardy family has farmed at Marr Grange, off Barnsley Road near Doncaster, since 1936, when John Hardy first leased the land; his sons bought the farm outright in 1953, and their descendants Philip, Susan, Nicola and James Hardy run it today. The farm has reared its own pigs since 1966, and the shop sells this pork alongside beef, lamb, dairy and produce bought in from other local growers and suppliers. An in-house bakery supplies bread and cakes for the attached tea room, which serves breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas. The shop and tea room occupy a single site on the working farm, with no other branches, and the Hardy family continues to oversee both the livestock and the retail side of the business.
