A thatched fifteenth-century pub in the small hamlet of Murcott, a few miles from Bicester, run since 2006 by husband-and-wife team Mike and Imogen North. The kitchen holds a Michelin star and three AA Rosettes for modern British cooking built on local and seasonal ingredients, served in a dining room that has kept its low beams and village-pub feel.
