Beat Generator Live is a live music venue at 66-70 North Lindsay Street in Dundee, run by the promoters Beat Generator, who have staged gigs in the city since 1994 and take their name from a Dundee music fanzine of the 1980s. The venue hosts touring bands, local acts and club nights in an intimate room whose walls are lined with album covers, some signed by the artists who have played there. Past acts include Edwyn Collins, The Skids, Wire, Sham 69 and Twin Atlantic. The venue also runs regular nights for new and emerging bands from Dundee and the wider region, alongside DJ sets and themed club nights at weekends. Doors and start times vary by event and are published on the venue's gig listings ahead of each show, with tickets sold in advance and on the door.
