The Phoenix is a Category C listed pub at 103 Nethergate in Dundee, one of the city's oldest surviving public houses. It changed hands in July 2024 when Andy Robertson took over from Alan Bannerman, who had run the pub for several decades. The interior keeps sturdy wooden seating, green leather benches and a rare Ballingall Brewery mirror, along with stained glass windows and a bar gantry installed in the 1980s and sourced from a Cardiff pub. Five cask ales are typically available, drawn mainly from Scottish breweries, alongside kegs and a food menu served from the kitchen until 7pm, with pies available later in the evening. The pub sits near Dundee Contemporary Arts and the Dundee Repertory Theatre, and opens seven days a week from mid-morning until midnight.
