MòR Beers

MòR Beers brews from the Old Mill at Kellas, a village between Dundee and Broughty Ferry, on a site founded in 2012 as the personal project of a retired RNLI coxswain. Dominic Hughes, who trained through a Masters in Brewing and Business at the University of Sheffield, moved north from London and took over the brewery in 2018. Since 2024 the brewery has produced cask beer exclusively, having stepped back from bottling and kegging to concentrate on real ale sold to pubs across Tayside and beyond. MòR is a member of the Society of Independent Brewers and offers gluten-free and vegan beers within its range. Visits to the brewery are arranged directly with Hughes rather than through fixed public opening hours, with tours and tastings booked by phone or email ahead of a visit to Kellas.
