Celf Gallery

Myfanwy Shorey opened Celf Gallery in Roath Park Hall on Bangor Street in November 2023, taking over three open-plan rooms at ground level to create around 100 square metres of exhibition space. The gallery represents a mix of established and emerging artists working across painting, print and ceramics, with shows changing every few weeks. It participates in the Own Art scheme, which lets buyers spread the cost of a piece over interest-free instalments, a detail Shorey uses to encourage first-time collectors rather than only seasoned buyers. The rooms keep their original hall proportions, with high ceilings and plain walls that put the focus on the work rather than the building. Opening hours run Wednesday to Sunday, with additional viewings available by appointment.
