Drewton's occupies converted farm buildings on the Drewton Estate at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds Way, opened in October 2010 by Katie Taylor MBE after she moved from her family's West Yorkshire textile business into food and hospitality. The farm shop and kitchen work with around 250 Yorkshire farmers, growers and producers, selling fresh produce, meat, cheese and baked goods alongside a café serving breakfasts and lunches. The estate has run on renewable energy since 2004 and includes footpaths, tennis courts and holiday cottages, giving visitors a reason to walk off a meal before heading home. The business employs around 45 local people and supports several farm-to-table education charities for children in the surrounding area.
