Lucktaylor Ceramics

Catherine Lucktaylor works from a studio at Bejowans Farm near St Buryan in west Cornwall, hand-building ceramics using pinching and coiling techniques rather than a wheel, then firing them using the Japanese raku method. She trained in ceramics at Wolverhampton University and moved to Cornwall in 2007, drawing her Landscape Series from the surrounding coastline and finishing pieces in a signature turquoise glaze influenced by her Ghanaian heritage.
