Newton Farm Holidays& Tours

Newton Farm is a working family farm at Inverarity, between Forfar and Dundee, that opens its gates for hands-on farm experiences. Visitors can take a guided farm tour and nature trail or book closer encounters: alpaca walking for ages seven and up, a Highland cow and alpaca session with grooming and feeding, miniature donkeys and feeding sessions, meeting cows, lambs, goats and Lucy the micropig along the way. The Cart Shed serves tea, coffee and home baking, and the farm also offers bed-and-breakfast rooms and a self-catering cottage. It has twice taken VisitScotland's regional Best Outdoor and Adventure Experience award, in 2019 and 2024. Experiences run most days by booking and are weather dependent, with alpaca walks paused during lambing. It is an independent, single-farm operation rather than a visitor-attraction chain.
