Plant Studio,Bedminster

Plant Studio opened on North Street in Bedminster in March 2023, selling houseplants ranging from easy-care classics to rarer aroids and variegated specimens, alongside handmade terrariums, pots and custom soil mixes. The single shop is small, with plants arranged on tiered shelving and a workbench at the rear where staff pot up orders and repair root-bound plants brought in by customers. The business was built on the idea that plant care is a skill that can be taught rather than an innate talent, and staff spend much of the day talking customers through watering schedules and light requirements for specific species. The shop sources outdoor plants and garden pieces as well as houseplants, filling the gap between a florist and a full garden centre. It remains a single site, with no other branches in Bristol.
