The BellyRub

The BellyRub is a small craft beer bar and bottle shop on Victoria Road in Scarborough, opened in December 2015. The bar pours a rotating line-up of keg and cask beer, while the fridges and shelves hold cans and bottles from Yorkshire breweries and further afield to drink in or take away. Food runs to street-food-style plates designed to go with the beer, and the room is dog-friendly, with the business named partly for its regular four-legged visitors. Events include tap takeovers, tutored tastings and a pub quiz. It is a single independent site rather than a branch of a larger group, run as a neighbourhood beer bar a short walk back from the seafront and the town's Victoria Road shops.
