Surveyed
Run by Jonathan and Joanne Tindall since 2002, this inn beneath Froggatt Edge is the only Peak District pub to display a chequers sign, a symbol used to mark inns since Roman times. Documented references to the building go back to 1591, and the kitchen has held an AA Rosette for over twenty years. Seven guest rooms sit above the bar and restaurant.
