Potter Ray Gridley throws functional stoneware in a studio behind Ivy House, a seventeenth-century farmhouse at Nether End in Baslow, and sells finished pieces from the oak-timbered gallery on the ground floor of the house itself. At weekends he generally demonstrates throwing, coiling or glazing to visitors, and the gallery also carries work by a number of other local makers.
