The LambtonLarder

The Lambton Larder is a delicatessen and coffee shop on Buxton Road in Bakewell, built around a cheese counter that runs to a wide selection of British and continental varieties alongside cured meats, olives and other deli staples. The shop bakes and sources artisan bread, pastries and cakes for its counter and serves coffee and light lunches, including paninis, sandwiches and salads, to eat in or take away. A small bottle shop stocks wine, spirits and local beer to go with the food on offer. The business also runs a catering and hamper service, putting together gift boxes of local produce and providing food for private events. It trades as a small, independently run shop rather than as part of any wider chain, and has built a regular local following for its coffee and cheese selection since opening on the Rutland Buildings site in the town centre.
