The retail counter of Hannan Meats on the Moira Industrial Estate, trading as The Meat Merchant from the same single site. Peter Hannan started the catering butchery in 1991 and went on to dry-age beef and lamb in what the business describes as the largest complex of Himalayan salt chambers anywhere. It buys from around a hundred and twenty farmers, most of them in Northern Ireland. Hannan has taken two Great Taste Supreme Champion titles, and in 2018 the BBC Food and Farming Derek Cooper Outstanding Achievement Award.
