Union Music Store is a record shop on Lansdown Place in Lewes, dealing in new and second-hand vinyl, CDs and books alongside turntables and guitar equipment. The stock favours jazz, rock, psych, Americana, reggae and world music, chosen by staff rather than run off a distributor's list, with a 'Pick From The Racks' feature on the shop's own blog highlighting a different album each week. Rega turntables are sold and set up in-house, and the shop takes part in Record Store Day with its own allocation of exclusive releases. Beyond selling records, Union hosts live music evenings in the shop itself, turning the floor between the racks into a small stage for touring and local musicians. Pre-orders for upcoming releases can be placed online or in person, and the shop issues its own gift cards.
