William Whiteley& Sons

William Whiteley & Sons has made scissors and shears in Sheffield since 1760, and describes itself as the last industrial scissor-maker still operating in the UK. Blades are still forged, ground and hand-finished on site, with ranges covering tailoring, embroidery and left-handed scissors sold mainly through specialist stockists and its own website. It remains a single, independently owned manufacturer rather than part of a larger cutlery group.
