Komplex Gallery

Artist and maker Altron lx founded Komplex Gallery in 2015 in the disused lower level of the former Reid & Sons bakery on Victoria Road, a building put up in 1909. The space is reached through the bakery's original corkscrew tunnel entrance, which keeps its glazed brickwork, and now serves as one of two exhibition areas; the second space hosts workshops and events. Komplex shows contemporary painting, mixed media, digital prints and screen prints, largely by Scotland-based artists, and runs an online shop selling work directly. The gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday and continues to invite submissions from artists for future exhibitions and collaborations, alongside maintaining resident studio space within the building.
