Lehren Pottery Studio operates from a first-floor unit at GRIT Studios on Canal Street in Stockport, run by potter Thomas Longden. Classes are kept small, from private throwing tuition for one to four people covering beginner and intermediate wheel work, to self-guided sessions for those with some experience and a candlestick-making session open to complete beginners. Firing and glazing are charged separately once a piece is ready, and gift cards are sold for people who want to give someone a class rather than an object. Longden arranges sessions around each group's availability rather than a fixed timetable, and is upfront that the first-floor space has stairs that make it unsuitable for wheelchair users, inviting anyone with mobility needs to get in touch about alternatives. The studio sits inside a converted industrial building shared with other small creative businesses.
