Surveyed
Emma Nosurak came back from Melbourne in 2016 with an idea, sold a hundred mini cacti off a table outside an office building, and turned the proceeds into a proper shop — now settled on Mealhouse Brow, the stepped cut between Stockport's market place and the Underbanks, and stocked floor-to-ceiling with houseplants. The name says Manchester; the town says otherwise, and the town is right. The local press calls it a hidden green gem, which is half true — the green is verifiable, and the hiding is only until you find the brow.
