Riverhead Coffee

Nic Till opened Riverhead Coffee on Victoria Street in 2015 after returning from several years in New Zealand, where she noticed how independent coffee shops doubled as genuine community hubs even in small towns. She wanted the same for Grimsby: a place where a parent with a pushchair felt as welcome as anyone else. The menu leans on freshly ground coffee, home-baked cakes and a wide vegan selection, with care taken over dietary needs including gluten and dairy allergies. A second shop followed on St Peter's Avenue in Cleethorpes. Dogs are allowed inside, and regulars know the staff by name. The Grimsby branch keeps to town-centre opening hours, filling with students, dockworkers and retirees alike over the same counter.
