The Artists' Gallery occupies an upstairs room at Ludlow Farm Shop in Bromfield, just outside Ludlow, and is run as a cooperative by eight local artists, designers and makers. Work on display spans hand-thrown stoneware ceramics, wildlife prints made using digital techniques, and turned wooden vessels, with makers taking turns staffing the till themselves. Because the artists sell directly, prices go straight to the person who made the piece rather than through a dealer's margin. The gallery keeps farm shop hours, open daily including Sunday afternoons, which suits visitors combining a browse with lunch or a food shop downstairs. The mix changes as members bring in new work, so the room rarely looks the same on two visits. Commissions can be arranged directly with individual makers.
