Dave and Kathy Chipperfield run Tir Aluinn from a quiet spot on Higher Oakfield above Pitlochry, within walking distance of the town centre. Breakfast is built around eggs from their own free-range hens, which the Chipperfields say makes them the only Pitlochry guest house able to guarantee that freshness, and guests can eat early or late depending on their plans for the day. Rooms come as single, double, twin or family, each ensuite with Wi-Fi, television and a hospitality tray, and the house has private off-road parking plus a walled garden where children can play safely on the lawn. The views run out over Pitlochry and the Tummel valley, and the Chipperfields run the house themselves.
