Headington Fairtrade is a community-owned shop on London Road in Headington, Oxford, selling fair trade food, gifts, jewellery and homeware alongside refill products from Ecover and Faith in Nature. It began as a group of volunteers selling goods at local churches before opening a permanent shop, which held its official opening in March 2010; it operated on volunteer labour alone for its first five years before taking on a paid manager in 2015. The shop rebranded from its original name, The Windmill, to Headington Fairtrade in 2016. Structured as a community co-operative, it is run by an elected management committee on behalf of its shareholders rather than a single owner, and trades from this one Headington premises only.
