Perrys ofEccleshall

Perrys of Eccleshall has traded as a master butcher and game dealer since 1927, having grown out of the former WM Perry Butchers on nearby Small Lane before moving to its present single shop at 19-21 Stafford Street. Master butcher Stephen Hill, who began learning the trade at fourteen in the predecessor shop, now runs the business, sourcing beef, pork and lamb from farms within five miles and operating a nose-to-tail approach that includes handmade pies, sausage rolls and cured bacon. The shop was named Butcher's Shop of the Year for the Midlands and East of England in the 2020 Butchers Shop Awards, and has twice won the Countryside Alliance's Best Butcher award, in 2017 and 2018. An on-site butchery school runs alongside the retail counter.
