Summerfield Nursery

Summerfield Nursery is a family run specialist grower based on Burlands Lane in Upper Poppleton, on the edge of York. The nursery propagates and sells hardy herbaceous perennials, grasses, ferns, hostas and shrubs, with stock raised on site rather than bought in for resale. Staff advise customers on plant choices for local soil and light conditions, and current availability and pricing can be requested by email ahead of a visit. Orders over £150 receive free delivery within fifteen miles, covering York, Harrogate and Ripon, while larger orders are delivered free across Yorkshire, with same-week dispatch available for orders placed before 5pm on Thursday. As of summer 2026 the nursery operates by appointment rather than casual drop-in visits, so calling or emailing ahead is advised before travelling to Burlands Lane.
