Philip Bret-Day runs this small gallery at 24 The Pantiles, dealing mainly in inexpensive, collectable prints and pictures alongside canvases by contemporary painters he represents. His own specialism runs to Georgian optical views and Art Deco fashion, with broader knowledge of pre-1930s works on paper, Russian and French art history and military history. He gives occasional talks on subjects ranging from Coco Chanel to Casanova's time in London and the history of the camera obscura in painting. When space allows, the gallery clears its walls for small temporary exhibitions. It trades among the colonnaded, owner-run shops that line the Pantiles, open Tuesday to Saturday and closed at the start and end of the week.
