Dyfi Distillery was founded in 2016 by brothers Pete and Danny Cameron at the Corris Craft Centre, on the Gwynedd side of the Dyfi valley between Machynlleth and Dolgellau. It was the first commercial gin distillery in mid-Wales, and the brothers forage botanicals themselves from the surrounding Dyfi Biosphere Reserve, including bog myrtle, heather and pine, which go into the Original and Pollination gins alongside a rotating seasonal mix unique to each batch. The distillery has won Best Welsh Gin at the World Gin Awards, a gold medal at the Gin Masters, and a two-star Great Taste award, and was runner-up in the 2023 Icons of Gin ranking of craft distilleries worldwide. Visitors can see the still and buy bottles directly at the Corris Craft Centre unit, open seven days a week from late March to early November, with tours and tastings run alongside the retail counter.
