Quarry Pottery has traded from Unit 3 of Corris Craft Centre since the centre opened its doors to its first customers in March 1982. Potter Lahn Hinchliffe, who worked in the pottery as a child in the 1990s, returned to take over the business in 2015 and has since developed a range of colourful stoneware finished in multiple glazes alongside the pottery's long-running line of ceramic Smoking Dragons, which release fragrant mist or incense smoke through the mouth and are sold as a mosquito and midge deterrent for outdoor use. Visitors can book pottery throwing experiences at the wheel or try hand-painting a piece to take home. The studio is one of nine independent workshops sharing the craft centre's site in the Dyfi valley.
