Isle of Skye Seafari Experience runs small-group wildlife boat tours from Portree Pier aboard a twelve-seater Humber Quinquari inflatable RIB, heading along the north and east coast of Skye and out towards the islands of Raasay and Rona. Trips are led by a local skipper and include seal and eagle tours, whale and dolphin safaris and evening wildlife outings, with white-tailed sea eagles, common and grey seals, porpoises and, on longer runs, minke whales among the species regularly seen. The RIB carries visitors close to sea stacks, caves and cliffs that larger boats cannot reach. Operating from April to October, the business takes online bookings through FareHarbor, sells gift vouchers and accommodates group and private charters. It holds a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice listing, and tickets can be bought or collected on the day at the pier when space allows.
