Pritchetts has supplied meat to Salisbury since the 1870s, when Albert Pritchett first hung his name above a shop in the city. The business passed down through the Pritchett family before employee Vincent Aldridge took over in the early 1990s and kept the trusted name. His brother Mark now runs the shop with his son Charles, who joined as a partner in 2017. The butchers moved from Fish Row in the city centre to a unit on the Churchfields industrial estate in 2022. Sausages, burgers and faggots are still hand-made to recipes passed down through the generations. Customers order online for local delivery or collect from the Whittle Road counter, open six mornings a week.
