Bistro atThe Boathouse

Shaun and Gemma Dickens run Bistro at the Boathouse from a former boathouse on Henley-on-Thames's Station Road, its terrace looking out over the Thames. Shaun trained under Raymond Blanc, Thomas Keller and Alan Murchison before opening the bistro with Gemma, who oversees the front of house. The kitchen keeps to a relaxed, all-day format, running from quick bites through to leisurely lunches and dinners rather than a fixed tasting menu. Dogs are welcome on the outside deck, and the restaurant opens on Mondays only over bank holiday weekends and during Henley's Regatta week. Service otherwise runs Wednesday to Sunday, with last orders at 8.30pm on weekdays and 3.30pm on Sundays.
