A single-roomed real ale pub on The Shore, built in 1912 as a warehouse and later fitted with an Art Deco glazed-brick fireplace and inter-war mirrored gantries that still stand behind the bar. One regular session ale from Hadrian Border is joined by seven rotating guest beers, mostly from small independent breweries across Scotland and northern England. Pump clips from long-closed breweries hang from the ceiling, and dogs are welcome throughout.
