Southwood GardenCentre

Southwood Garden Centre is an independent, family-run centre on Ganton Avenue in Cottingham, grown out of the neighbouring Southwood Farm. Alongside plants, garden furniture, tools, lighting, home decor, barbecues and water features, it houses a farm shop stocking home-grown produce from the farm plus meat, vegetables and cupboard staples sourced around East Yorkshire. Lucy's Coffee Shop occupies part of the site for visitors wanting to break up a browse. Being tied to a working farm gives the produce side a short supply chain, and the business trades as a single site rather than part of a garden-centre group. It is the kind of local centre where the range shifts with the seasons, from bedding plants and vegetable starts in spring to Christmas stock later in the year. Parking is on site, and the farm shop and coffee shop draw regulars independently of the garden trade.
